What is the JCB Foundation?

The Joan C. Banfield Foundation is a new charitable organization in the Dexter Community, founded in 2004, that is dedicated to building an endowment to enrich the quality and support of female athletics ages K to 12th grade. The foundation will work on four main initiatives to accomplish this mission:

1. Organize fund raising events that will provide grants to female youth athletic programs and teams.

2. Establish recognition awards for those companies & businesses, individual adult and young adult volunteers, who have significantly contributed time and/or funding to female youth athletics.

3. Organize sporting events for female youth athletics in the K to 12th grade age groups.

4. Provide opportunities for higher education through scholarships

5. Raise awareness through information and communication on the importance of involvement in female athletics.
