Lyn Yarows Memorial 5K Run/Walk
To be held: Saturday July 26th, 2008
Proceeds will go toward a memorial at Hudson Mills or an organization of choice as selected by the Yarows family.

Where: Hudson Mills Metro Park - 8801 North Territorial Road, Dexter

When: Saturday July 26th, 2008 - Registration: 7:30am Starting Time: 1 mile kids run 8:30am, 5K walk/run 9:00am,

AWARDS: 5 DEEP IN ALL AGE GROUPS -- 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90 -99. Special Awards to Overall and Master’s (40 & over) Male & Female top finishers.
1 Mile Awards to all finishers and top boy & girl.
T-SHIRTS - To the 1st 250 registered. All pre-registered are guaranteed shirts.

Teen Driving Class
Teen Driver Class The Joan C. Banfield Foundation in cooperation with General Motor’s Milford Proving Grounds is pleased to offer a very important Teen Driving Safety Class. The class will cover discussion on good driving skills and hands-on instruction in:

Skid Control

Evasive Maneuvers

Control Braking

Emergency Off – Road Recovery

Serpentine skills

Driver Conduct and Safety

The class is taught by professional instructors trained in safe driving. The instructor to student ratio is 3 to 1. The class will be held July 19th and 20th, with a morning session from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and afternoon from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The participants will be bused from Dexter at 7:00 AM for the morning class and 11:30 AM. A box lunch will be provided for all participants. Classes hold 15 participants and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. The classes will be filled starting with the Saturday AM class and no preference can be given to preferred time and day. The class is no cost to participant. Depending on demand a second weekend might be available.
